ITINERARY

Day 1 – Cochin – Munnar

• Pick up from Cochin airport / railway station and Transfer to Munnar, One of the most beautiful hill station in South India. Its situated at a height of 1600 m front sea level.
• On the way visit Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls.
• Over night stay at resort/hotel.

Day 2 – Munnar

• Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed for the sight seeing.
• Visit Eravikulam National Park, where you can see the rare species Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goats).
• Visit Mattupetty Dam. Mattupetty offers many fascinating sights to relish. Besides the lush green tea plantations, and the rolling grasslands, the Shola forests in and around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and are habitat to a variety of birds.
• Visit Kundala Dam. Kundala is a picturesque town located at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala.
• Enroute visit Echo Point, View Point & green carpet of Tea Gardens.
• Over night stay at resort/hotel.

Day 3 – Munnar – Thekkady

• After following the breakfast proceed to Thekkady, Its famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs.
• Visit Periyar wildlife sanctuary, home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more. Evening,enjoy the boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals.
• Overnight stay at Thekkady.

Day 4 – Thekkady – Kumarakom

• Procceed to Kumarakom, a small backwater village which lies along the backwaters of Kerala.
• With a bird sanctuary overlooking the Vembanad Lake.
• Here you can get a feel of the essence of a typical village life of Kerala.
• Overnight stay at resort.

 

Day 5 – Kumarakom – Alleppey

• After breakfast, Checkout from the hotel and proceed to Alleppey which has an immense natural beauty, also known as the “Venice of the East” and its famous for backwater cruising and boat race.
• Check into your Houseboat and cruise through the NarrowCanal amidst the Paddy Fields, Coconut Lagoons and coir villages in Alleppey.
• Overnight stay at the houseboat.

Day 6 – Alleppey – Cochin

• Checkout from Houseboat at 9 am. Proceed to Cochin. If time permits, Cochin Sight Seeing. On time transfer to Airport / Railway Station to connect flight/ train for your onward journey.
